Experienced manager with an interest in HR?

We are looking for a People services manager to ensure the day to day smooth operation of our HR systems and managing the people services team, take ownership of all employee onboarding and off boarding and deliver a first-class service to support the delivery of the People Strategy.

About the role

What will I be doing?

You’ll ensure all employee contracts of employment and contract variations are delivered quickly and accurately to employees and updated in the appropriate systems.

You will be providing support to the ‘back office’ side of the HRIS system through a detailed understanding of the system, and be able to fault diagnose issues, undertake specific corrective actions and make changes to ensure a permanent fix. As well as provide second line trouble shooting support for users. 

To deliver training/coaching to system users to enable them to use the system efficiently and to help create a culture of data accuracy.

Further you’ll provide 2nd line trouble shooting support for users.  To deliver training/coaching to system users to enable them to use the system efficiently and to help create a culture of data accuracy.

Key responsibilities?

  • To provide system expertise to deliver assigned HR Systems projects and future phases of system developments to meet business or legislative requirements.
  • To produce and maintain HR Systems and People Services process maps and system workbooks
  • As part of the Data Governance task force, ensure that the data in the system is accurate and up to date. Ensuring users are aware of their responsibility and empowering them to take responsibility for the data.
  • To assist HR and operational teams to oversee and maintain the organisation/establishment structure within the system, ensuring it remains within budgeted levels and that any business reorganisations are reflected within the system.
  • To provide relevant stakeholders with HR information and statistical analysis which contributes to business decisions and the formulation of strategy.
  • To keep abreast of developments in best practice, in information management and control, to advise on potential changes to policy and procedures in this area.

What are the Requirements?

  • Understanding of HR Databases and system administration duties, preferably iTrent from Midland HR.
  • Experience of using SAP Business Objects for data querying and reporting
  • MS Excel – Intermediate (Pivot Tables, Statistical analysis and formulas)
  • Understanding of HR processes and experience of working in an HR team and managing administrative HR services
  • Understanding of payroll processes and legal requirements
  • CIPD Qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Ideally have experience of working for a large organisation and be used to working with multiple stakeholders
