About the role

What will I be Doing?

  • We have some great services to offer, and we want you to introduce them to new clients in your area.  That means spotting development opportunities and making sure SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is invited to bid for strategically important regional contracts.
  • Our Regional Business Development Managers are our highest level of sales, the equivalent market level of a 'National Accounts BDM' or a 'Key Account BDM',
  • You'll be developing tailored responses and giving client presentations that will result in new additions to our regional portfolio.
  • When a new customer agrees to join us, you'll be the central point in negotiating and configuring a contract solution. You'll then ensure the new contract is implemented smoothly so that the customer has a totally positive experience.
  • In short, you'll be in charge of refining our regional sales proposition, building our profile within the market place and developing a market position for our brand.

What are the requirements?

  • With a track record of winning and developing new large customers (annualised value of c75K - £1M) You'll be financially aware and commercially astute.
  • You will be experienced at navigating blue-chip, FTSE 500 markets and well established UK brands.
  • Having worked in a senior sales role before you'll know how to deliver high service levels, create a great customer experience and manage expectations whilst maximising profits.
  • UK waste and resource management industry knowledge is desirable, but it is not essential, as industry training can be given. However, strong demonstrable sales experience and previous success is a must have.
  • Targeting high waste spend prospects and operating at a corporate level, you'll be experienced at navigating blue-chip, FTSE 500 markets and well established UK brands.
  • Though the primary concentration is the South East, you'll also be required to submit bid/tender responses for national opportunities.
