Summary of vacancy

We are looking for experienced Water Utilities Leakage Technicians or individuals who are keen to start their career in Leak Detection or take the next step. The role will involve shadowing our experienced Senior Network Engineers who conduct onsite investigation, client support, training, and auditing as part of Suez’s leakage and digital solutions service.

Mobile working with extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally Europe, with considerable time working away from home. (preferably Yorkshire based). This role is Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week but with some unsociable hours ( overtime to be paid)

Internally called Network Services Technician - Leakage

The salary for this position is between £22,500 to £25,000 plus company Van, funded 1% benefit allowance, 2 wellbeing days, pension, enhanced parental leave, 28 days holiday, bank holidays.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Responsibilities ( at training completion):
  • Ensure quality and operational health and safety
  • Onsite support of the Suez Leakage and Digital Solutions offer across the UK and Europe
  • Experience in leakage detection methods utilising new and existing technologies
  • Operational activities related to all Suez digital water network solutions
  • Train & support clients teams in leakage detection, digital solutions, and further new water network digital technologies
  • Interest in scanning technology horizons for deployable solutions we can bring to the UK
  • Mentor other operations and delivery technicians in project delivery & leakage detection and condition assessment
  • Integration with, and working alongside existing teams within clients leakage detection activities across the UK
  • Provide onsite technical support to leakage and water network teams
  • Work on projects with colleagues in Suez globally, to deliver successful outcomes related to leakage detection services across the business

What are the requirements?

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence – essential
  • NRASWA qualified-( Qualification will be provided by SUEZ)
  • Water Hygiene Qualification- -( Qualification will be provided by SUEZ)

Experience required to do this role if non -trainee:

  • Thorough, detailed understanding of leakage detection.
  • Knowledge of drinking water network operations.
  • An understanding of GIS plans.
  • Experience within the UK water industry - desirable.
