About the Role

  • Role will start in SEPTEMBER 2024
  • There is travel expected in this role and nights away from home  - You are provided with a company car. 
  • can be based anywhere in the UK.
  • Role is offered on a 24 month basis.  
  • £27,560 + Company Car + Bonus + Benefits

About the role

What will I be Doing?

  • To work rotational placements between different areas of HR, such as employee relations, learning and development, performance management and recruitment and resourcing, as well as travel across different office locations in the UK or overseas.
  • To complete HR based projects throughout the programme
  • To fully participate in all placements and take steps wherever possible to offer insight from previous work and educational experience to solve problems or expand the HR service.
  • Continue to undertake professional and personal development by improving your own knowledge of the waste management industry alongside Human Resources.
  • You will be expected to undertake internal and external training and be responsible for recording and demonstrating your new learning in your placements.
  • You will participate in all areas of HR including, recruitment, on-boarding, compensation and reward, HR Systems and HR operations, working closely with all members of the HR team as well as senior and line management as well as individuals to ensure that the workforce is managed and developed in the most effect way possible.
  • To produce any reports, research, costs and recommendations as requested throughout the graduate program that is accurate, on time and of a high quality in terms of content but also in presentation.

What are the Requirements?

  • 2:1 degree in any subject would consider 2:2 with some relevant work experience or CIPD qualification within the past 3 years.
  • To have completed a CIPD-accredited professional qualification at Level 7 by the end of the two-year scheme.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills such as empathy, sensitivity, tact and discretion.
  • Developing and fostering internal networks on specific projects. Actively participating in external networks and /or working groups and /or events for example Chartered Institute of Personnel.
  • proven ability to use all Microsoft packages, various HR systems
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to define facts, metrics and data to guide decision making whilst aligning to company goals and objectives.
