As a Principal Commercial Sales Manager at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

The salary for this position is circa £75,000 Plus Car/Allowance ( £10,000 ) up to 20% Bonus, Healthcare, 10% Employer Pension, 25+8 Holidays.

The role can be based anywhere within the North of the UK and commutable to a SUEZ Regional Office. 


About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be required to manage current commercial / sales relationships within your regions sites and a team of commercial managers.
  • You will identify and deliver new commercial opportunities and convert them into tangible value adding projects.
  • You will successfully raise the profile of the company through good working relationships to deliver new business revenue and increase profit margins.
  • You will develop and maintain regional commercial strategy based on sound market and sector intelligence.
  • You will support the SUEZ brand as market leader across the region through offering clear commercial solutions to existing and potential customers.

What are the requirements?

  • You will have ideally worked within commercial management, sales or trading, holding a strong financial/commercial understanding of the resources sector and the regional market.
  • You will have significant experience in winning, managing and negotiating multi-million pound contracts, ideally within the waste management industry. 
  • You will have the ability to manage service levels and collaborate with multiple internal and external value chain colleagues.
  • You will be an experienced negotiator with a customer focussed approach.
  • You will operate with an open selling communication style in order to grow business, maximise co-operation and meet customers desires.
  • You will have a confident and supportive leadership style that builds trust with customers and internal colleagues.
