About the Role:

  • Location: Sittingbourne
  • Salary: £30,460.56 p.a.
  • This is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract opportunity
  • Hours: Working 44 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 5.00 am to 3.30 pm, Friday 5.00 am to 2.30 pm

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • As a Driver, you will be driving our waste vehicles (up to 7.5t), looking after the operation/loading of vehicles collecting municipal recycling and waste across Swale Borough Council
  • Amongst other duties you'll be responsible for collection of fly tipping, emptying council bins, street cleansing and removal of graffiti
  • We expect candidates to deliver a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety rules and contractual requirements at all times

What are the requirements?

  • You must be able to drive a vehicle up to 7.5t
  • You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills
  • Willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service
  • Experience of working with waste vehicles is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary
