Are you an Operational Systems specialist? Here at SUEZ R&R we have an exciting opportunity for a Weighbridge and Stock Control Systems Specialist in systems like Mayer and clear.net.

The salary for this position is up to £53,385 Plus Car/Allowance, up to 10% Bonus, Private Healthcare, Pension, 25+ 8 annual leave entitlement.

The purpose of the role is to manage and optimise the application of the company’s weighbridge, stock and production system in the interests of protecting the wider operational business. To build and develop a standardised ‘way of working’ for all SUEZ staff operating Weighbridges and Stock systems. To maintain an effective day to day relationship with Mayer Information Technology, Canada and all other suppliers of weighbridge and stock management systems.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Resolve system errors.
  • Escalate performance issues to MISManage integration of MM (or other weighbridge systems) data into SAP, LP2 and CLEAR systems
  • Create and manage system roles and approve users access
  • Set up any new data fields/elements
  • Create and manage P&P which relate to the system
  • Manage unbilled tickets and costs to ensure no loss of revenue
  • Identify system enhancements to deliver business system objectives
  • Develop business cases and system requirements documentation
  • Testing new enhancements and newly refreshed test and DEV environment
  • Manage change into the live system
  • Standardise processes and share best practice across system operations
  • Testing and implementation of upgrades
  • Maintain relationship with Mayer in Canada and other weighbridge/stock suppliers
  • Account Management: annual fees & enhancement fees
  • Interface with RMs and PMs to determine any system implementation or amendments
  • Keep all stakeholders up to date on system status and changes
  • Assist training department with user training content
  • Work with Finance to ensure all chart of accounts coding is correctly assigned
  • What are the requirements?
  • Understanding of project delivery (time/cost/resource management) incl. system design, implementation, standardised practice and support
  • Basic understanding of how software development works and how to negotiate best price on system enhancements
  • Be able to communicate our business strategy to external stakeholders (e.g Mayer).

Ideal candidate experience:

  • At least 5 years experience of working in the waste and recycling industry
  • Deep understanding of stock and production management (of recycled commodity grades)
  • Deep understanding of weighbridge, stock and production IT Systems
  • APM Project Fundamentals
  •  Qualification or similar would be highly desirable
  • NVQ3 Management or similar
