We are currently looking for a multiskilled- electrically biased maintenance engineer to join our team in Manchester.

  • Location: Newton Heath, Manchester 
  • Salary: £46,420
  • Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:00 or 08:00-16:00

About the role

What will I be doing as a multiskilled engineer?

  • Taking lead on all electrical tasks and offering support for mechanical issues where required, ensuring all plant machinery meets regulatory requirements.
  • Reactive breakdown resolution including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance.
  • Planned maintenance to follow schedule for conveyors, ECS’, Balers, compactors, shredders, lighting, general electrical systems and more.
  • Involvement in planned yearly shutdowns.
  • Travelling to other sites in the area when there are operational requirements, including installation works.
  • Mentoring and supporting apprentices during their development.  

What are the requirements?

  • NVQ level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent 
  • 18th edition qualification
  • Previous experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance for industrial machinery including conveyors, motors, VSD/VFD, Estop circuits, domestic installations etc.  
  • Able to read Schematic drawings.
