About The Role

Location: Pool, Cornwall

  • Salary £35,220.56 per annum / £15.00 per hour
  • Working 45 hours per week
  • 1.5 X after 45 hours
  • 1.5 X Saturday (Guaranteed 7 Hours)
  • 2 X plus a day in lieu on bank holidays
  • Potential earning £25 lone working bonus per day before overtime.
  • Bank holiday working is required
  • Driving RCV's collecting commercial waste
  • Cover driver covering holiday and sickness (is full time and permanent) then go on the waiting list for a round/truck when one becomes available.
About the role

What will I be doing?

The role will involve the driving and operation of vehicles collecting Industrial and Commercial waste and recycling from our customers, delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team, delivering a high level of customer service.

The role also requires:

  • An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.
  • Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.
  • Experience of working with recycling vehicles, roll on roll off containers, is preferred but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
