About The role

Location: Longley Lane, Sharston, Gatley, Manchester M22 4RQ

  • Salary £12.33 per hour
  • Working 42 hours per week
  • Shift pattern 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Start times: 06:00am - 18:00pm
  • Full PPE provided

 

 

About the role

What will I be doing?

The main part of your role will involve collecting representative samples from incoming feed stock to plant, sorting into the various categories of target materials, recyclable but non-target materials & non-recyclable materials.

The role will include:

  • Accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Collecting representative samples from outgoing products (paper, steel, plastics etc) to ensure quality levels are met / exceeded
  • To accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft programmes such as Excel.
  • Tracking the number of samples for both incoming and outgoing materials to ensure that the site does not fall short of the requirements of legislation.
     

What do you require?

  • The successful candidate will need to be computer literate and any previous experience in the waste / recycling or similar industry would be advantageous.
  • You will need to be hard working, flexible in your approach to your role but, overall, capable of working to and maintaining high standards.
