About the Role

  • We offer a package up to £71,327.00  (inclusive of basic salary, bonus and company car allowance).
  • MUST have I&C experience in a multi-drop logistics environment– high volume – low margin

About the role

What will I be doing?

As our Senior Service Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in leading a high‑performing depot operation and ensuring we deliver excellent, sustainable, and customer‑focused services.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, shape operational performance, and contribute to a more efficient and responsible logistics network.

You will:

  • Take overall managerial responsibility for depot operations, ensuring services run efficiently, safely, and in line with regional strategy.
  • Champion a strong compliance culture, ensuring all activities meet legal, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Build and nurture a customer‑first environment, supporting colleagues to deliver great service and inclusive team collaboration.
  • Lead proactive driver management to reduce vehicle downtime, improve fuel efficiency, and support responsible transport operations.
  • Review and enhance our service offering, driving customer retention, sustainable growth, and conversion opportunities.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for someone who is motivated, inclusive in their approach, and passionate about operational excellence.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a managerial role within a multi‑drop logistics environment, ideally in a high‑volume, low‑margin setting focused on continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications: IOSH (or equivalent) and Full CPC National Road Haulage qualification, plus strong IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and general systems proficiency).
  • Operational Insight: Confident financial and operational understanding, with experience improving productivity, service levels, and route planning.
  • Compliance Mindset: Ability to ensure safe, legal, and ethical operations while navigating a competitive and fast‑paced environment.
  • People & Customers: Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive customer relationships and lead, support, and motivate diverse teams.
