Summary of vacancy

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer / Technician, with a background in the water treatment industry? Would you like a varied role, installing and operating temporary water systems with blue-chip engineering customers, from food and specialist manufacturing to the recycling and power industries?

What will you be doing as a Field Service Representative (FSR)?

Coordinating with the Area Field Services management team, you will act as the local technical consultant, liaising and providing on-site support and customer management. Installing, servicing and operating chemical feed and water treatment equipment, duties will include:

  • Conducting preventative maintenance on water treatment plant, chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation. 
  • Troubleshooting and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels
  • Water analysis and/or collecting samples for preparation, processing for designated laboratory analysis
  • Calibrating feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintaining log sheets
  • Operating fixed installations on SUEZ water sites
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary
  • Completing and distributes all on site work reports to customers and back to the business 
  • Training of customers and personnel to enable them to operate all equipment safely and effectively, including FSR trainees in the various site technical functions.

A field based mobile role means flexibility to travel to other sites within your region could be required, providing support including with Mobile equipment projects. Proactivity is a must, reporting customer feedback to the business and making recommendations to any site procedure or policy changes to improve efficiency. Providing an emergency installation service requires FSR’s to be on call (currently 1wk in 4), with a bi-annual bonus paid to compensate.

What will you need and what can you gain? (Experience and qualifications)

Along with experience of fulfilling a similar field based role within the water treatment sector, we are also ideally looking for:

  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering or technical discipline OR substantial relevant industry experience
  • A good level of sound Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practice, including Risk Assessment, Method Statements etc., in industrial / engineering environments
  • A background or commitment to working in a field based role
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office
  • Full UK Driving licence

There is also the opportunity to support European sections of the business so a willingness or desire to work internationally would be welcomed.
