About the role

The Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting the Operations team to operate, optimise and improve the wastewater treatment assets across the PetroIneos petrochemical complex to ensure that we meet our process and consent conditions.

What will I be doing?

This will involve identifying and carrying out work packages related to all aspects of the plant – process operations, maintenance and asset care, development projects, risk and cost management control and overall plant optimisation.

The Operations Engineer is expected to drive operational excellence by innovation and significantly improve the reliability and efficiency of the wastewater assets on the PetroIneos site.  The Engineer will act as a technical specialist/advisor and the relationships developed with the Operations team, Engineering & Projects team and Clients are key to achieving these goals.

What are the requirements?

  • Wastewater management experience, gained in a team leader or technical role in an industrial setting
  • To be able to demonstrate through previous work experience excellent technical and operational knowledge in wastewater treatment
  • Experience of working directly with a Client including attending, facilitating and contributing to meetings
  • Leadership experience in the management of a team of operators, skilled technicians or engineers
  • Working to strict HSE systems with high levels of personal accountability
  • Operational problem solving and diagnostics using technical literature
  • Project management experience (desirable)
  • Experience running plant modification / improvement processes
  • Computer Literate
  • Strong time management skills
