Summary of vacancy

Are you a Plant Manager, currently working in an energy from waste or energy recovery plant?  Or are you working in a similar industry environment and ready for this level position as the next stage of your career?

Join us in the resource revolution!

Whatever part you play at SUEZ, you’ll be doing something amazing. We need people in all kinds of roles to help us solve tomorrow’s challenges. By joining us, you’ll be contributing to a business that’s working for the planet’s future – one that’s not afraid to innovate and introduce new solutions. In return for your hard work, we’ll give you a fulfilling career within a supportive team. Here, you’ll be free to be yourself and develop in your way.

About the role

As the Plant Manager of our Wilton Energy Recovery Centre, you’ll be in charge of an innovative facility that’s generating power in a greener, more sustainable way.

What will I be doing?

As the manager of an EfW plant, you’ll play a critical role in its success. You’ll have overall responsibility for its operations, maintenance and workforce, as well as compliance with regulatory standards.

Revenue can be up to £20million, so it’s vital that you’re equipped to manage resources, motivate and direct teams, take decisions, measure performance and develop the business.

Under your leadership, our plant will operate efficiently and produce as much energy as possible.

What are the requirements?

To join us you’ll need to have worked as a manager in a similar setting, with the ability to build and develop teams, and have a track record of meeting financial targets and KPIs. Experience of financial planning, budgeting and capital approval will also be vital for this role.

You’ll combine all this with either a degree or minimum HNC (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering and your knowledge will cover the latest environmental and industry related legislation. You should hold a Health & Safety qualification (ideally NEBOSH), plus you’ll have the determination and skills to run a successful EfW plant.
