Are you currently studying an engineering or science related degree? Are you mathematically minded and someone who enjoys problem solving?

SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is looking for an intern to support the Midlands production team for a 12-month period commencing September 2019.

About the role

Based in the Midlands, you will work closely with our regional material sourcing, production / processing and business improvement teams, to identify and support numerous continuous improvement projects and to help increase the efficiency of our business. 

With a strong focus on data gathering, analysis, interpretation and problem solving, you will work with regional teams to fully understand the multiple and complex processes involved in our varied material recycling and recovery plants, working on multiple projects to identify and implement improvements in operational efficiency and quality control.

A student / graduate in relevant engineering or scientific discipline is desirable and preferred candidates will have an appreciation of how to use problem solving methods and data driven analytical methods. 

You should be keen to learn, enthusiastic with a natural desire to take on complex challenges and use problem solving methods to solve them.  You should be highly proficient with software packages such as Microsoft Office and be able to present your findings within various forums. 

Training in the application of the SUEZ business system and the core principles of lean manufacturing that underpin it will provided on the job.
