As an ETP Operations Technician at SUEZ Industrial Water, a division of SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions UK, you’ll be part of a team that provides a holistic service in the water industry. The role

The ETP Operations Technician will be responsible, on a shift basis, for operating and monitoring the electrical, mechanical and instrument assets associated with the wastewater treatment plants on the Ineos site at Grangemouth.

What will I be doing as an Operations Technician?

The Technician will be expected to prepare permits, implement operational changes and prepare plant for PM tasks as directed and planned by the Operations and Maintenance Departments of IW. The Technician will also be expected to use the maximo system to enter maintenance data into a computer based system to record plant data.

What are the requirements?

  • Experience of working directly with sub-contractors (Desirable)
  • To be able to demonstrate through previous work experience, an ability to interpret technical information to affect changes on the plant (Desirable)
  • Operational experience of water and/or waste water treatment plant (Desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of water treatment processes e.g. filtration, flocculation, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, what they do, how they do it, common applications and problems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work within a quality system (Desirable)
  • Ability and knowledge to  assist with basic repairs and maintenance
  • A working knowledge of running electro-mechanical plant
  • Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment plants (Desirable)
