Summary of vacancy

Have you managed teams in a production, manufacturing or processing plant environment ? Would you like to apply this experience and help the environment, producing an alternative to fossil fuels from what people throw away?

With innovation and new technology, we can create a greener future. But we can’t do it alone – which is why we need your help. Be part of a team that’s building new solutions for our planet.

What will you be be doing?

  • You’ll work with other members of the Processing team to maximise potential revenue from a varied feedstock and customer base, while achieving a very high quality and tightly specified product.
  • To succeed, you must have acute awareness of production quality plus the ability to judge and act on any issues that arise.
  • You’ll also be expected to keep accurate records, help plan maintenance and ensure the plant runs in a safe, efficient way, in line with statutory regulations and Health & Safety legislation.

What will you need and can you gain?

Having managed a team in a production processing plant before, you should already have what it takes as you'll be able to lead people, deliver against KPIs and work safely in a demanding processing environment. Underpinning this expertise will be:

  •  Qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing (or equivalent experience) and ideally Health & Safety (e.g. IOSH)
  • An awareness of manufacturing techniques including lean (Six Sigma) and continuous improvement.
  • A qualified first aider with the drive to gain a COTC/WAMITAB qualification in 12 months (if you don’t have this already)

If you can also boast strong communication skills and the determination to excel, we’d definitely like to hear from you.
