As an Assistant Financial Analyst at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

What will I be doing as an Assistant Financial Analyst?

You will be responsible for:

* Maintaining and improving the reporting for large, long-term PFI waste contracts by developing strong relationships with the Client, the regional Operations team and other key stakeholders

* Completing the monthly invoice process, reporting and query management in accordance with contractual requirements

* Ensuring contractual compliance with the Payment Mechanisms of the relevant contracts on a monthly and annual basis

* Highlighting areas of potential improvement within the PFI and other regional contracts via development and analysis of KPIs and other reporting tools

* Assisting the Operations and Finance teams with forecasting, the annual budget process and financial modelling for new tenders

What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)

You must be able to demonstrate:

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* The ability to work to deadlines and to be self-motivating as the role has a considerable degree of autonomy within a contractual framework

* The ability to coordinate and work with others across a multi-discipline and multi-skilled structure, liaising with, amongst others, finance, IT, administration and legal teams

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience of other finance and reporting packages is beneficial but not essential

You will have:

* Experience of working within a finance team and/or be in possession of a degree in finance or business and looking to start or continue CIMA or ACCA with study support being offered as part of the role

* A full UK driving licence as travel within the South-West of England (and occasionally more widely) will be part of the role as the contracts on which you will be working encompass multiple locations regionally
