As a Contract Manager at SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established recycling and recovery company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

What will I be doing as a Contract Manager?

  • The Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the collection of household waste and recyclables in a way that protects the public and the environment by reducing the impact of waste handling operations on the wider environment.
  •  Maintaining successful working relationships with the client in order to ensure that SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is perceived as a reputable, a value for money service provider to members of the public and to secure future business.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the team and must ensure all the facets of the business are carried out in compliance with or exceed the contractual requirements and are in accordance with HSE regulatory and SUEZ internal health and safety and environmental standards.
  • The Contract Manager must also maintain the performance standards of the contract as measured by the relevant KPI’s as agreed with the client.
  • Controlling all elements of the business to deliver the terms of the contract whilst maximising company profit.
  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure that continuous improvement across all areas is achieved and to ensure that appropriate employee levels are in place to deliver the contract requirements in a safe and effective manner. 

What are the requirements? (experience & qualifications)

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Working as part of a strong team, the successful candidate must have experience of financial reporting, managing budgets and producing/developing appropriate Business Plans.
  • In addition, he/she should have experience of managing a large site/team.
  • Candidates will require a Certificate in Professional Competence in Road Transport Operation and an IOSH Managing Safely qualification
