These are full time permanent roles, working 06:00hrs-15:00hrs (42.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday, on an hourly rate of £9.00 per plus overtime.

About the role

What will I be doing as a MRF sampler?

The main part of your role will involve collecting representative samples from incoming feed stock to plant, sorting into the various categories of target materials, recyclable but non-target materials & non-recyclable materials.

  • Accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft Office programmes (Word & Excel)
  • Collection of representative samples from outgoing products (paper, steel, plastics etc) to ensure quality levels are met / exceeded
  • Accurately weigh and record findings onto databases using various Microsoft programmes such as Excel.
  • Track the number of samples for both incoming and outgoing materials to ensure that the site does not fall short of the requirements of legislation.

What do you require?

You will need to be hard working, flexible in your approach to your role but, overall, capable of working to and maintaining high standards.

The successful candidate will need to be computer literate and any previous experience in the waste / recycling or similar industry would be advantageous.
