Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician / Electrician, ideally having worked in an Energy from Waste facility? Or do you have experience in a similar plant environment, and keen to join a company committed to improving the environment?

About the role

What will I be doing?

We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all electrical aspects of our plant, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest wiring standards and regulatory requirements.

At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team by:

  • Supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Providing junior staff with guidance and supervision, as well as contractors.
  • Working a 24-hour call-out rota, covering plant breakdowns outside normal working hours.

What are the requirements?

To join us in this key role, you’ll have previous experience with industrial electrical systems, having learnt about these areas through an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar, and previous maintenance engineering roles based in a process, steam raising or heavy engineering environment.

Thanks to this background, you’ll be:

  • Qualified to at least City & Guilds/NVQ level 3.
  • Able to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Familiar with BS 7671: 2008 18th edition wiring regulations
  • Health & Safety qualified (e.g. IOSH) or equivalent would also be advantageous but if not training will be provided.
