Summary of vacancy

In this role you will be responsible for the accurate management accounting and reporting of a business line running across Europe.  You will closely work with the UK Finance Leader and Operational Business Leader.  Additionally, you will align with sales teams, and other finance and cross-functional teams to drive visibility of the figures, run effective planning cycles, identify risk and opportunities and drive results to achieve the budget.  You will need to influence a wide range of stakeholders within the extended organisation including outsourced shared service centres, global process owners and from time to time, external tax + statutory advisors.

 

 

About the role

What will I be doing?

Partnering with operations to deliver regional growth and execution.

  • Serve as a business partner to the Finance and Operating leaders to explain results, drive initiatives, growth and profitability
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency of the financial performance for total European Fleet business
  • Support Europe Fleet based financial deliverables, where needed such as calculating and tracking return on capital investments and driving business targets such as reduction of past dues.
  • Implement processes in line with global reporting needs
  • Partner with global Finance and Operations team to drive profitability and KPI reporting
  • Drive accuracy, controllership and predictability of costs including setting and revising current and/or new processes
  • Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting processes across the operations
  • Strive for process simplification and harmonization of our global financial procedures 
  • Managing the closing, reporting and budgeting processes

Ad hoc reporting and support as necessary e.g. supporting audit process

What are the Requirement?

  • Bachelor’s in finance, accounting or equivalent professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification finance experience
