Summary of vacancy

Are you an experienced, Maintenance Technician / Engineer, Mechanical but with good basic Electrical knowledge? Do you currently work in a production / manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned (PPM) maintenance on machinery including conveyors, motors and gearboxes?

About the role

You will earn between £28,718 - £32,541 plus 10% shift allowance, up to to 10% bonus and company benefits such as gym flex, shop discounts and much more.

You will be working 42.5 hours per week pro rata, on a rotating shift pattern Monday - Friday, week 1 - 05:45 - 14:15 and week 2 - 13:45 - 22:15, plus every 3rd Saturday between 06:00 - 14:00.

About the role

What will I be doing as a Maintenance Technician?

We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all areas of plant, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.

At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.

Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.

What are the requirements?

To join us in this key position, you’ll have a predominantly Mechanical background with basic Electrical knowledge, ideally with an Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).

You'll have worked / be working in a Maintenance Engineer / Technician role in manufacturing / production engineering environments, having gained hands on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics with any basic electrical fault finding experience highly beneficial.

  • Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3.
  • IOSH is highly desirable, but not essential and can be gained.
  • Basic PC skills is desired.
  • You must be able to drive due to the shift patterns.
