In return, we offer a salary of £53,246 plus up to 20% bonus structure (£10,649), Car Scheme (Company Car, or Car Allowance- £8,259), Private Health Care, Company Pension, and Benefits Catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining will be £72,154.

About the role

What will you be doing?

The more efficiently our sites work, the better they are for the environment, as well as our business. Your role will primarily be focused on providing specialist technical support for the operation, maintenance and process optimisation of our Energy-from-Waste (EfW), Gasification and Anaerobic Digestion facilities. Experience in Advanced Thermal Treatment processes such as Pyrolysis would be advantageous. The role will also offer development opportunities in other waste treatment processes, including mechanical treatment.

A degree holder (chemical or process) is required for this role. We expect you to be an engaged engineer, already chartered, or working towards this (we will help you to develop and pursue this status. Prior experience developing technical team members is also highly desirable as part of this role’s requirements.

To support our existing and expanding business across the UK, travelling will be a strong requirement as part of this role and we expect you to hold a full driving license to facilitate this.

In your role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing & implementing new technical solutions to maximise availability, reliability and treatment capacity at our facilities.
  • Identifying & recommending process improvements and optimisations to our facilities, project management lead (from concept to the handover)
  • Completing technical due-diligence reviews for innovative processes which will enable the business to remain sustainable and grow.
  • Working alongside a cross discipline team of engineers in SUEZ’s technical team to help drive SUEZ’s strategic goals.
