  • ensure they’re trained and motivated to carry out their roles
  • be the Senior Authorised Person on site
  • be responsible for the facility outside office hours.

SUEZ commit and invest in their staff, so will provide training, but you need to be a capable professional with First Aid and Fire Marshal training.

What are the requirements?

  • You will ideally have experience working in an Energy Recovery facility, or from a similar power generation or chemical process plant, but you’ll certainly have a good understanding of how they operate.

You will also need:

  • a qualification to HNC level (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering
  • technical expertise, including of boilers, incinerators, steam systems and high voltage switchgear (S9/S4)
  • strong awareness and understanding of Health & Safety, with IOSH or similar qualification
  • excellent team management skills and the ability to get the best out of people.
  • IT-literate with permit to work systems experience and well-versed in environmental legislation.
