Are you an experienced mechanical engineer or maintenance technician with a solid foundation in electrical work? Are you now performing planned (PPM) and reactive (RPM) maintenance on gearboxes, conveyors, and motors in a production or manufacturing setting?

What you’ll do:

  • We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all areas of plant, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
  • At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.

Salary: £40,365 + 15% shift allowance
Location: Avonmouth
Working hours: Monday – Friday rotational shift pattern 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 -10:00, 10:00-18:00 

About the role

What you’ll need to apply:

You must be primarily mechanical with an excellent understanding of electrical systems, ideally with an engineering apprenticeship (or comparable experience) to join us in this key position.

You will have experience working as a maintenance engineer or technician in manufacturing or production engineering environments. You will have hands-on knowledge of various equipment, such as gearboxes, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. It would be highly advantageous if you have any experience identifying and fixing basic electrical issues.

Essential:

  • Qualified in HNC/HND Nvq Level 3
  • Desirable but not essential:
  • The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • IOSH is highly desirable (can be gained)
