In return, we offer a salary of £31,658 plus 20% Shift Allowance (~ £6,331), up to 10% Bonus (~ £3,165), Company Pension, and benefits catalogue
Total Package at the time of joining up to £41,154.
We’ll help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.

About the role

What will I be doing?

As a Shift Operations Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient operations at our plant, while complying with environmental legislation. Monitor, control, and assess plant processes, swiftly resolving any issues that arise. Take charge of water tube boilers, conducting water analysis and maintaining their optimal performance. Additionally, you'll be responsible for system isolation to guarantee plant safety, when needed.

Your role will be on 12 hours shift basis, both, days, and nights- equivalent of 37.5 averaged and annualised hours. Great opportunity with time off in between the shifts!

You might be asked to help to cover for a colleague, or to attend a specific training, however you will be properly compensated with 1.5x overtime rate, increasing to 2x on Sundays and night shifts, and to 3x on bank holidays.

 

What are the requirements?

  • Experience in Energy Recovery, Power plant, or other industrial processes.
  • Familiarity with boilers, combustion, process control, and relevant health & safety/environmental legislation.
  • Preferred certifications: BOAS Cert IBO and IOSH working safely qualification. Don't worry if you don't have them all; we'll invest in your development from day one!
  • Experience operating DCS system (desired)
