Are you a seasoned maintenance professional with a passion for optimizing industrial processes, experienced in Outage Management? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise directly impacts successful shutdowns and turnarounds? This is your chance to lead the way as our Technical Manager - Outage Planning.

In a return we offer salary of £65,593 - £76,941, plus up to 20% bonus (~ £15,388), Car Scheme (Company Car or Car Allowance ~ £10,155), Private Healthcare, Company Pension (10% ER), 25 Holiday Days + Bank Holiday, and benefits catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining up to £102,484.
We'll help you progress and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.

About the role

What will you do?

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive outage strategy for our energy recovery assets across the UK.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of industrial equipment and asset management to optimize outage timelines, planning processes and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance, technical teams and two direct reports to ensure seamless execution of all outages and major maintenance activities.
  • Develop standards and support teams in ensuring equipment inspection and test plans and return to service checks are of the highest quality.
  • Support teams in the application of lifecycle assessments and budgets – using these to influence future decision making.

This role can be based in any of our Energy Recovery centres.

 

What are the requirements?

  • Minimum BEng level education (or equivalent experience) with extensive background in industrial maintenance.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing complex outage/shutdown/turnaround projects, ideally in a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial processes and asset management principles (planning, standardisation, life cycle management).
  • Understanding and qualification in  health & safety principals and project management is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, including potential overnights to support ongoing outages.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
