Summary of vacancy

Here at SUEZ UK we have a fantastic opportunity in our Business Development team. The role will be based remotely, although there is an expectation to spend time travelling to meet clients. Overnight stays will be necessary to fulfil this role effectively.  The role will cover the whole of the UK.  

The salary for this role is from £50,000-£70,000 plus 0-20-44% Bonus plus Car, Company funded 1% benefit allowance, pension, enhanced parental leave, volunteer leave, 28 days holiday rising to 30 days with length of service plus bank holidays and in addition to 2 wellbeing days per year.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Develop new business, new market sectors and new services
  • Undertake knowledge exchange on the UK Digital Market and our current portfolio of solutions 
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy and sales plan in collaboration with the UK Commercial Director and Managing Director 
  • Adapt our services to meet client needs 
  • Review, develop and deliver the Sales Strategy 
  • Provide commercial leadership for tenders and higher value proposals produced by colleagues 
  • Produce tenders, proposals and supporting customer discovery documentation 
  • Record and report sales data through Salesforce CRM and other agreed formats to the SASUK Commercial Director and sales team 
  • Feed market intelligence back to the SASUK Commercial Director, global managers and Marketing Team 
  • Identify synergies with the wider SUEZ group 

What are the requirements?

  • Knowledge of the UK Water Utilities Market 
  • Knowledge of Digital technologies and solutions and the features and benefits of these technologies 
  • Proven sales background 
  • Consultancy or technical background in Air Quality or other environmental discipline 
  • Detailed knowledge of the UK Water Utilities procurement methods, Asset Planning Processes, targets and initiatives 
  • Ability to balance a varied workload and prioritise key activities 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent planning, presentation and negotiation skills
