The role is working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 17.30pm, 47.5 hours per week with a salary of £37,871 plus bonus, pension.

About the role

What will I be doing?

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the daily running of the site operations ensuring full compliance on the site.

Ensuring the efficient deployment of staff and resources, this will mean you will need to:

  • work closely with the other members of the team and contribute to ensuring we provide the best service to our clients and customers
  • supervise personnel and fixed plant, monitoring quality and continually striving to implement process improvements
  • collating working hours of staff for payroll on a monthly basis, maintain budgetary control over operations, order equipment and resource for the site.

You will also be responsible for ensuring activities of all employees comply with SUEZ’s policies & procedures and relevant Health & Safety legislation.

The salary is pro-rated based on a 47.5-hour work week.

 

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate a passion for recycling coupled with strong communication skills and be able to bring your experience of supervising and developing engaged teams to meet very high operational standards. Additional experience includes:

  • IOSH or a similar Health and Safety Qualification is preferable or the ability to achieve this within 12 months. 
  • A broad knowledge of plant equipment is desirable, but not essential, as training is provided.
