We are currently looking for a multiskilled- mechanically biased maintenance engineer to join our team in Manchester.

About the Role

  • Location: Longley Lane, Wythenshawe, Manchester
  • Salary: £55,005, inclusive of shift allowance 
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, Nights, 18:00-06:00
  • Benefits: Van + 10% Bonus + Pension + Holidays + Sick Pay + More 
About the role

What will I be doing as a multiskilled engineer?

  • Taking lead of all mechanical tasks and offering support for electrical issues when required, ensuring all plant machinery meet regulatory requirements.
  • Reactive breakdown resolution including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance.
  • Planned maintenance to follow schedule for conveyors, ECS’, Balers, compactors, shredders, gearboxes, motors etc.   
  • Involvement in planned yearly shutdowns.
  • Travelling to other sites in the area when required.
  • Mentoring and supporting apprentices during their development.  

What are the requirements?

  • NVQ level 3 in engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • 18th edition qualification- or willingness to complete within 3 months of starting.
  • Previous experience with mechanical maintenance for industrial machinery including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, mobile plant equipment etc.
  • Welding/Fabrication experience.
