As an Education & Community Officer at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

What will I be doing?
- Lead educational activities to support the learning around the waste hierarchy and to raise awareness of waste management in Cornwall.
- Assist in the development and delivery of waste minimisation and recycling campaigns, talks, roadshows and educational programmes.
- Manage the visitor centre booking system and support with the promotion of tours.
- Assist the Community Liaison Manager in report writing for internal and external audiences.
- Help to coordinate and deliver events that promote waste minimisation and recycling.
- Identify news items suitable for the Cornwall website and SUEZ life magazine.
- Assist the Community Liaison Manager with the drafting of press releases
- Prepare materials for and attend meetings and talks for community groups.
- Attend community liaison meetings and draft minutes.
What are the requirements?
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficient in presenting information clearly to diverse audiences
- Customer service experience
- Educated to A’ level or above
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community members, internal and external stakeholders.
- Empathy and active listening skills to understand the needs of various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse and reflect on educational programmes and outcomes
- Use of data to inform decision making and improve educational practices
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- A proficient working knowledge of Office 365
- Must hold a UK driving licence and have access to their own transport
