About the Role

  • Based at our location in Southend
  • £27,560 - £30,043 per year + Company Van + 3% Bonus
  • Offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to start early 2025.
About the role

What will I be doing?

  • To assist in the mobilisation of the Southend Waste Collection, Street Cleansing and Material Management Contract.
  • The role will involve audits of the Southend area and map on-street assets (e.g. litter bins; …) The role will assist in the scheduling of street cleansing tasks with the aim of optimising service delivery.
  • To assist in performing route risk assessments in the months leading up to service commencement. Following service commencement the role will support street cleansing zone evaluation.
  • The identification and mapping of all street cleansing assets to load into our operational system
  • Assistance with street cleansing task scheduling with a view to optimising service delivery
  • Performing route risk assessments; identification of hazards and risks and documenting these for upload into our operational system
  • Performing a zone evaluation in collaboration with Southend operational management and the client

What are the requirements?

  • Experience as a Collections / Street Cleansing Operative, Loader or HGV Driver is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Formidable interpersonal skills and experience as you will be dealing with the general public on a daily basis.
  • IT Literacy (MS Suite)
  • GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or 6 or above
