About The Role

Location: Kirklees MRF (Huddersfield)

This is a Full Time, Fixed Term 12 months contract

  • Salary £47,383.39 per annum / £20.18 per hour
  • Working 45 hours per week
  • Shift Pattern Monday - Friday
  • Start Times:  06:00am - 17:45pm

About the role

What will I be doing?
    
You will carry out the operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors. 

The role will involve:

  • To safely and efficiently operate fixed machinery, such as baling machines.
  • Maintaining the completion of preoperational safety and operator checks.
  • Frequently complete daily checks and maintenance of plant equipment used at the facility.
  • Ensuring the compliance with all material export requirements such as photo’s, paperwork and container seals.
  • Assisting sampling operatives with collection of samples.
  • Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times and to comply fully with all company and local procedures.
  • Assisting Production / Maintenance staff with their duties during plant downtime.
  • To contribute to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
  • To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation, ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements? 

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous.
  • You must have the ability to not only operate under pressure but be able to think on your feet.

In order to make an immediate impact, mobile plant licenses for Tele-truck/ Tele-handler would be advantageous.
