The role will include providing support to the Renew network, covering in the Hub and Shops as and when required. IT skill required, the successful will be trained to cover the Weighbridge

About the Role

Location: Nash Road, Greater Manchester - with the requirement to cover at other Manchester TLS sites

  • Salary £32,975.19 per annum / £14.87 per hour
  • Working 42.5 per week, 8.5 hours per day
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 16:30pm
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Mileage can be claimed as per the policy if working at any site other than Nash Road. 
  • Bank Holidays: Form part of the shift unless requested to be booked as annual leave
  • Full PPE provided

About the role

What will I be doing?

You will carry out the operation of loading shovels and re-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as bulk haulage walking floors.

This will involve:

  • The safe and efficient operation of mobile plant.
  • Carry out daily maintenance checks on all dedicated plant and machinery to ensure suitability and condition for use, including basic servicing in order to maximise efficiency of operation and availability of equipment.
  • Complete records relevant to site operations, equipment maintenance and quality checks to provide management information and compliance with site control conditions.

Ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees, you will also be required to carry out any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.

What are the requirements?

In order to make an immediate impact, we are seeking an experienced plant operator who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, but for the right candidate training can be given. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required, so you'll need:

  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop and embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience within the waste industry or other high volume production processes is an advantage.
