  • £39,275.92 per year + EV – this is a company expensed MG4 EV  + 3% Bonus + Benefits

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • To supervise and manage operational staff on the South Gloucestershire contract, monitoring the quality and safety of the work undertaken, liaise with client officers, staff and members of the public to ensure customer and client quality satisfaction.
  • Completion of service reports throughout the working day.
  • Ensure all training is carried out in line with the depot training matrix, including inductions for new starters.
  • Ensure all crews are briefed at shift start times with relevant operational information including any departmental flash briefings.
  • Completion of the daily allocation sheet to ensure correct staffing levels, this must be completed the day before operation is due.
  • All complaints tickets are dealt with and closed daily in line with service level agreement
  • All accidents and incidents are entered on to the company Eco Online database within the three-day agreement, all incidents to be fully investigated and a report conclusion produced.
  • Ensure all crews are de-briefed at end of shift to gather information on issues with their route, accidents / incidents and confirmation of drivers post use checks.
  • All fleet compliance is adhered to - maintenance planner / service requirements, torque planner updated, licence checks are carried out, driver’s log books are correctly completed with recorded hours.
  • Absenteeism is managed through Bradford Score Report supplied via HR department – including return to work interviews, sickness reviews and occupational health referrals.
  • Preparation of information for daily review meeting with the Contract Manager.

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate:

  • Good working practice.
  • Ability to make sound operational decisions.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Experience as a supervisor within the transport or waste industry is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with fleet compliance is desirable.
  • IOSH or a similar Health and Safety Qualification is desirable, or the ability to achieve this within 12 months.
  • You will require a driving licence, good IT skills and previous experience with standard Microsoft packages.
  • A Class 2 LGV Licence is desirable, or the ability to achieve this within 24 months.
