As a Procurement Officer at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

  • £37,135 per year + Car + 10% Bonus + Benefits
About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Supporting the Category Manager and UK Head of Procurement to implement Procurement strategies.
  • Developing effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting site requirements both emergent and planned.
  • Execution of competitive tenders from the conceptual to award phase, adopting a cradle to grave philosophy, working with the Legal team support ensuring business contract compliance.
  • Evaluation and appraisal of supplier performance.
  • Management of delegated procurement categories.
  • Negotiating most advantageous terms, quality and pricing on behalf of SUEZ R&R UK and delivery of best value procurement solutions.
  • Achieving and reporting cost savings in accordance with SUEZ R&R UK protocols.

What are the requirements?

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate procurement experience and ability to manage their own categories.
  • Working as part of a small team the successful candidate must have the ability to work independently using their own initiative and be able to communicate at all levels within the business, determined and focus to achieve goals.
  • The ideal candidates would be MCIPS qualified or working towards.
  • The position will require a degree of flexibility in terms of travel, and in meeting business deadlines.
  • Candidates will also require a full UK driving licence and good IT skills.
