Are you an experienced and qualified Electrician or Maintenance Technician currently working in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment?
Here at SUEZ, we’re excited to offer a brand-new opportunity within our Somerset contract. As our new Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key part in shaping the way we manage electric maintenance across our Taunton and Evercreech MRF’s with additional support across the wider Somerset sites.
This is your chance to make the role your own by bringing in your expertise, ideas, and initiative to a team that values innovation and collaboration. You’ll help develop and deliver proactive maintenance approach that supports safe, efficient operations in a vital area of our sustainable waste and recycling service.
About the role:
Package: £46,500 + Company Vehicle + 10% Bonus + Pension + holidays + Sick pay + corporate discount scheme with many retail/travel/tourist/insurance etc companies/websites.
Location: You will be based primarily in Taunton and Evercreech with expected travel across our Somerset sites when required.
Working hours: 8 hours per day – Monday – Friday between 6:00 – 18:00
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure.
- Respond to breakdowns quickly and safely, minimising down time.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity and equipment status.
- Work closely with the operations team with health and safety at the forefront of everything you do.

What you’ll need to apply:
Essential:
- Recognised electric qualification (e.g NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition)
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working with electric motors, hydraulics and conveyer systems.
Desired:
- A Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH (This can be gained in the role)
- You have worked in a maintenance role in a similar operation.
