The Role
Recycle, Reuse Store Manager (Internally the role is called Area Reuse Supervisor)

As a Reuse Supervisor you’ll be responsible for adding value to the items SUEZ accepts at our recycling centres in Aberdeen, you’ll lead a small, dedicated team to collect, repair and resell items delivered to these sites across our two dedicated shops.
This role will need to build on the fantastic success of our current operations which in 2024 alone reused nearly 38,000 items equating to more than 170 tonnes from landfill. In addition to this you will help deliver changes by supporting community groups through our local fund as well as developing key links to our local partners to meet our ambitious targets for reuse within Aberdeen.
Salary to £34,000 + 10% Bonus + Pension + Use of company vehicle + Sick Pay + Corporate Discounts at many retail/insurance/travel etc organisations

What will I be doing as an Area Reuse Supervisor?
The role will supervise and lead the team of operatives within the Aberdeen Reuse shops and a new hub at our Bridge of Don site which includes generation and development of sales by managing collection, repair and reselling of recovered items from out recycling centres. There will be a requirement for online posting, advert creation, image capture and stock management to support the reuse operations.
The Area Reuse Supervisor will support the management team through the formulation and implementation of the business plan to support growth, which includes building and maintaining trusted relationships with a wide range of local community groups throughout the region.
The role is expected to coordinate and monitor the receipt, repair, and dispatch of goods according to the Standard Operating Protocols and keep tight control on stock and inventories.
Clearly this will rely on the production of regular reports, statistics and the successful candidates will be expected to lead the team to success through hitting regular targets for sales through the shops and our new Click and Collect services
What are the requirements?
You will be passionate about the environment and in particular this re-use project, with prior retail experience and a real enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service.
You may have limited knowledge of recycling and upcycling, but you must be willing to rapidly recognise where value can be added to reuse items and create the vision for your teams. This will
require the ability to communicate with wide range of stakeholders and customers as well as the confidence to create and control advert content / product description to ensure accuracy and compliance in a positive and appealing light
The successful candidate will be able to lead and motivate a diverse team across the shops as well as have an understanding of the practical skills needed to add value to items within the Hub. This will require an absolute eye for the detail and experience of stock control will be vital.
Having an ability to handle financial aspects of retail including understanding and analysing sales figures will be required.
The requirement for formal higher education is not an essential however we would expect the successful candidate to have Maths and English qualifications as a minimum. The role will require movement of goods and services between the sites and a driving licence will be essential.
Interviews are scheduled to be held week commencing 19th May 2025 so availability will be required for those short listed during these dates.
