About the role

What will I be doing?

You'll be making sure our Suffolk Energy Recovery plant is fully operational at all times. Day-to-day, you’ll plan and carry out a range of mechanical maintenance activities, leading and developing your team, whilst making sure safety, health and environmental standards are adhered to at all times. A cost-effective approach is important too, but best practice is crucial. Using your knowledge and experience, you’ll lead junior members of electrical maintenance team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice whenever required.

What are the requirements?

This is a role for a confident professional who has worked in a heavy industry in a hands-on mechanical maintenance role before. You’ll have an HNC in Mechanical field (or equivalent experience), and good working knowledge of environmental legislation. A Health & Safety qualification would be great but we’re more interested in your ability to lead a team, explain technical matters clearly, and improve plant availability.
