About The Role

  • You will be based at our Higher Swan Lane Depot, Bolton, BL3 3AJ
  • You will be earning £12.60 per hour.
  • You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
  • You will receive SUEZ Company benefits and full PPE.
  • You will be completing a welder apprenticeship, level 3 course through Tameside College.

What are the requirements?

  • You must be able to deal with any potential issues that may arise.
  • You must be a practical person who is happy to be hands on as part of their role.
  • You need to be mechanically minded as this administration role due to this position being in this area of work.
  • You must be be willing to commit to the course duration.
  • You need to have a driving license due to you working on multiple sites as part of your role.

What will I be doing as a Fabricator/Welder Apprentice?

  • To carry out welding and fabrication repairs to the highest standards on company assets.
  • To estimate and assess damage and advise the maintenance supervisors.
  • Always adhere to Health & Safety rules, that work areas are clean and tidy
  • You will work as a dedicated Welder/Fabricator on site.
  • Potential for mobile on site work around the Manchester, supporting other team members in general maintenance activities when on site.
  • Working solo or as part of a team.
  • Be willing to learn small mechanical tasks by association with the technicians and supervisors.
  • To report any activity that falls outside of the company policy and procedures to Management.
  • Form and maintain excellent relationships with shift supervisors, managers and site operatives.
  • Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work as required.
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy as per the 5s requirements.
