Salary: £19.00 per hour + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday - Friday / AM SHIFT

we are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled or newly qualified HGV Technician to join our well-equipped, professional workshop team in Doncaster.

You’ll be working in a clean, organised environment where vehicles are prepped and ready before entering the workshop—enabling you to focus on what you do best. You’ll join a small, experienced team that takes pride in maintaining a large, diverse fleet of over 1,500 vehicles nationwide. No day is the same.

 

About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service, maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy goods and articulated vehicles
  • Diagnose and rectify faults across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and perform testing
  • Work in compliance with DVSA standards, Health & Safety regulations, and safe workshop practices
  • Use modern diagnostic tools and ancillary equipment
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to further your technical skills

 

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair (HGV preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to inspect and service vehicles to DVSA standards and beyond
  • An HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) – desirable, but not essential (training available)
  • IRTEC accreditation or inspection training – desirable (can be provided)
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics – advantageous, but full training can be offered
