About the role

As a Mobile Plant Operator, you’ll play an essential part in keeping our waste and resource operations running safely and efficiently. You will work across the site loading and moving materials safely and efficiently. You will load various vehicles, including bulk haulage walking floors, shipping containers, and curtain-sided vehicles, using shovels, FLTs, and tele-handlers, all while adhering to health and safety regulations. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all waste deliveries comply with the site licence, completing associated paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Guiding customer vehicles to the correct disposal areas and assisting safely with off‑loading when needed.
  • Operating the baler as part of a multi‑skilled role (full training provided).
  • Supporting colleagues to maintain a safe, tidy and compliant working environment.

We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. To succeed in this role, you’ll need a safety‑focused mindset and willingness to embrace change and continuous improvement. Experience operating mobile plant such as loading shovels, forklifts or 360 excavators is preferred. Full training is provided, making this a strong opportunity for those developing their plant operator skills.
