As a Financial and Tax Accountant at SUEZ Advanced Solutions a part of SUEZ Water Technologies and Solutions UK, you’ll be part of a team that provides a holistic service in the water industry. We are committed to helping customers reduce their impact on the environment and maximising the return on their investments. 

What will I be doing ?

You will ensure all statutory and tax reporting is complied with, new accounting standards are adopted in a timely manner and be main point of contact for the audit process. 

  • Balance sheet reviews with relevant finance team members.
  • Be the main point of contact for annual audits.
  • Ensure impact of new accounting standards are modelled and the group area ready for early adoption.
  • Compilation of data and preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies (6 trading, 4 holding companies).
  • Submission of all reporting by statutory / authority deadlines.
  • Ownership of balance sheet accounts including tax, hire purchase and fixed assets.
  • Collation of data for tax returns and submission to central tax team. Follow up of any queries and sign off of final tax returns.
  • Collation and submission of VAT returns for the group.
  • Streamlining processes and implementing new tools e.g. Digital Tax.
  • Ownership of data held in group tools such as consolidation and IFRS16 lease tool.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

What are the requirements?

You will be:

  • Educated to degree level (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 A Levels (essential)
  • Newly Qualified or Finalist Level ACA or ACCA

Experience required to do this role:

  • Minimum 3 years experience of financial accounting.
  • Previous experience preparing statutory accounts.
  • Previous experience of VAT and Tax submissions.
  • Technically able and up to date.
