Production and Assembly Intern Opportunity:- July 2019 - July 2020

Water is a scarce resource and we pride ourselves in tackling this problem head on, finding cutting edge solutions to allow our customers to recover and reuse industrial water. We are now recruiting interns, for the 2019/2020 academic year, to join us for a 12mth placement.

Peterborough facility overview:

Our UK head office site has two functional areas; an engineering facility that designs and builds mobile water treatment equipment, and a plant that regenerates ion exchange resin and works with cutting edge membrane technologies to provide mobile water treatment equipment for customers.

We are a really friendly site, big enough to give you a good introduction to the corporate world, but small enough that you will know everyone that you work with and will understand the importance of building good working relationships early in your placement.

The Opportunity:

The Production and Assembly intern will work for the Production Manager and will be responsible for identifying issues, delivering improvements and long-term solutions within the Peterborough facility. Outgoing and interested in how things work, you will have a natural curiosity that will prompt you to explore where we could be working smarter, faster and better, and we will see the output from this in cost savings. Efficiency will be at the forefront of your work.

You should have a natural attention to detail, that will allow you to work with our build and refurbishment process, identify and solve engineering issues (mechanical mainly and some electrical), help to identify process steps and shorten cycle time of our builds or refurbishment to ensure we are delivering our customers exactly what we promised. It will be important that you are a confident communicator and use every opportunity you find to help your team advance. You will be involved in projects to better organization within stores and promote LEAN/KAIZEN and 5S activities.

Flexible and with great people skills, you won’t mind helping out with other tasks when we are busy and it’s an ‘all hands’ situation; You will understand early on that our customers matter to us.

You will spend your time across the office environment, in the stores and on the shop floor; Working with our teams, and growing in skills and confidence as you progress through the internship, leading projects and leaving a legacy of meaningful work at the end of your tenure.

We encourage our interns to be the best that they can be – are you ready for the challenge?
