As a Regional Financial Analyst assisting the Regional Director and Senior Financial Analyst at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

What will I be doing as a Regional Assistant Financial Analyst?

  • You'll be maintaining and improving the reporting function for large, long-term PFI waste contracts by developing strong relationships with the Client, the regional Operations team and other key stakeholders.
  • This is a key role within the Regional Operatons team, with responsibility for completing the monthly invoice process, reporting and query management in accordance with contractual requirements as well as ensuring contractual compliance with the Payment Mechanisms of the relevant contracts on a monthly and annual basis
  • With your knowledge you'll be able to highlight areas of potential improvement within the PFI and other regional contracts via development and analysis of KPIs and other reporting tools.
  • You''ll spend time assisting the Operations and Finance teams with forecasting, the annual budget process and financial modelling for new tenders to name but a few of the tasks.

What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)

  • Experience of working within a finance team and/or be in possession of a degree in finance or business and looking to start or continue CIMA or ACCA with study support being offered as part of the role
  • The ability to work to deadlines and to be self-motivating as the role has a considerable degree of autonomy within a regional contractual framework
  • The ability to coordinate and work with others across a multi-discipline and multi-skilled structure, liaising with, amongst others, finance, IT, administration and legal teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The base location for this position can be Yate or Avonmouth, however there will be a degree of regional travel throughout the South West  (and occasionally more widely) as part of the role as the contracts on which you will be working encompass multiple locations.
  • A company car or car allowance is part of the benefit package of this role along with a 10% bonus. Full package circa £39k.
  • Please note the internal title for this position is Assistant Financial Analyst.
