Are you an experienced Assistant Sector Manager?

We are looking for an Assistant Sector Manager to join our team in the North region. Reporting to the Sector Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of commodities into our facilities, driving innovation and profitable growth and creating and developing a culture of  ‘innovation & intrepreneurship’.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • You will work closely with the other members of the team and contribute to developing the end markets and value chain management of the respective sectors.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Value chain co-ordination to drive efficiencies at each step of the value chain and deliver profitable growth. 
  • You will identify opportunities for new market/products and lead on the end market development. 

What are the requirements?

  • You must be able to demonstrate understanding of commodities, trading, manufacturing and production models with a financial understanding of product lifecyles.
  • You must have the ability to translate the commercial agreement with the consumer into a contractual form and take to sign off and conclusion plus be able to demonstrate innovation and the judgement required to take calculated risks.
  • Experience of working with value chain management and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders is essential; a track record of marketing is desirable but not essential.
  • You will require good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Full UK driving licence.

This role will involve extensive travel, nationally.
