About the role

What will I be doing as a Traffic Controller?

Central to your role will require you to maximise own vehicle utilisation with the mission to reduce cost and maximise customer service

  • Operate vehicles within all aspects of legal compliance
  • Continuous monitor all site levels, and allocate resources to prevent contamination/service failure
  • Continuously update and check records in relation to legal compliance, operational systems
  • Understand and enforcing the H&S messages, making sure H&S is first and foremost
  • Assist with the Senior Traffic Controller in allocating work to the distribution part of the business

What are the requirements?

  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of supervising others, maintaining records electronically and in paper format and a willingness to resolve queries and problems.
  • Working as part of a strong team the successful candidate must have confidence when communicating at all levels both verbal and written, knowledge of the waste and/or transport industry.  Experience of first line management would be beneficial.A National CPC is desirable and a friendly and approachable manner is essential, good numerical skills and experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable.
  • Candidates will require a full driving license.
