About the role

We have a range of bid management roles available, working for SUEZ R&R UK Ltd in the Public Sector Development Team.

At SUEZ we provide waste related services to our clients, throughout the value chain, from collection and transfer, through to processing and energy production.

Further services include the management of a wide range of materials for re-use, recycling and treatment, street cleansing and management of Household Waste Recycling Centres, including the operation of reuse shops and a Reuse Hub, that deliver significant social value to their communities.

Our Public Sector Development team supports our existing business and bids for opportunities that fit with the wider strategy of our organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluation of opportunities in terms of strategic fit
  • Development of strong internal network, in order to support our bids and make best use of the wide-ranging skills of our organisation
  • External networking in order to develop relationships and keep up to date with market developments
  • Risk analysis, using an application of high levels of commercial understanding
  • Solution design, including development of resources
  • Data analysis
  • Development of costed proposals
  • Communication of solutions, including bid writing
  • Application of governance processes, including presentations to decision makers
  • Supporting local authorities in their declarations of a climate change emergency, through delivery of low carbon solutions e.g. electric vehicles

What we are looking for:

We want people that are self-motivated and driven, with a keen eye for detail, that will support the development of high-quality proposals to our prospective clients.

Coupled with experience of bid management, we are looking for individuals with experience of the waste industry, with understanding of the pressures facing our local authority clients, and the challenges that are ahead in the waste industry as a whole.

However, if you have experience in one of these two areas, please still apply, as your skills may be highly transferable, and we can provide a suite of learning opportunities, including on-the-job and internal and external training.
