As a compensation we offer basic salary of £37,135 - £43,561, plus you can choose either Company Car or Car Allowance (£7,356), up to 10% annual bonus (£4,356), Company Pension (5% employer contributions), and Benefits catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining up to £55,273.

About the role

What will I be doing?

  • Plan and schedule the movement of materials from collection points to end markets.
  • Liaise with the Distribution team, Hauliers and Waste Brokers to arrange collections and deliveries.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to optimise routing, vehicle utilisation, and turnaround times.
  • Understand market trends, and end destination compliance requirements to ensure that material outputs meet end market specifications.
  • Ensure all ‘Put or Pay’ obligations are met, and the required tonnages are delivered in line with contractual KPIs.
  • Respond quickly to disruptions such as vehicle delays, capacity issues, or quality concerns.
  • Ensure that all disposal facilities are fully compliant with necessary Waste Management Licences/Environmental Permits.
  • Source contingency disposal outlets during plant outages, minimising losses through financial decision making.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders, and where appropriate assist in the resolution of queries and Supply chain issues.

 

What are the requirements?

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in waste management, recycling, or a related logistics/supply chain environment.
  • Understanding the principles of material flows, processing operations and material value optimisation within the waste management and recycling industry.
